RCIA

Deacon Roger Cahaney, RCIA Director
Bill Kenney, RCIA Coordinator

The RCIA Wrap-up Potluck is June 12th from 6:30-8 PM at the Lothamer Parish Center. We wish to especially recognize our Neophytes and their Sponsors as well as the Moderators, Sunday Breakout leaders, and Staff.

The Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA) is a spiritual journey of  faith and conversion to seek and find the living God. The RCIA is a time of discovery and preparation in building relationship with God and His Church. There includes a series of Periods, Steps, and Liturgical rites within this journey. This journey is not taken alone. The entire RCIA Staff, a Sponsor, the Pastor, and the Holy Spirit will instruct and guide the catechumen’s faith formation. At the acceptable time, the Sacraments of Initiation (Baptism, Eucharist, and Confirmation) are conferred bringing the catechumen into full participation, community, and union with the Church. Life-long continuous growth, formation, and witness is necessary to strengthen and persevere in faith; to live as an intentional disciple of Christ, for the glory of God.
