Knights of Columbus News

NOTICE: Based on the current circumstances and with a profound desire to protect the health and well-being of all, we continue to determine how and when we can modify and/or resume our various ministries and programs. Meanwhile, below is information on our typical programs and potential start dates.

Calendar of Upcoming Events:

  • November 4 - Planning Meeting 7:30 PM  - members will receive an email with information as to whether this will be an in-person or virtual meeting.
  • November 18 - Business Meeting 7:30 PM - members will receive an email with information as to whether this will be an in-person or virtual meeting.

From the Grand Knight:

Thank you to all who helped make our Knights of Columbus fall fundraising projects successful, even during these social-distancing Covid days. All of our Brother Knights, their families and friends, St. Agnes parishioners and community members gave time and talents to contribute to our success.

  • This year's Oktoberfest Dinner was a great success. It was a sell-out with over 200 Polish dinners getting picked up and sent out for curbside delivery.
  • Our Tootsie Roll Drive Weekend for the Mentally Impaired was also a success. Our thanks go out to the businesses who allowed the Knights to collect at their front door locations. Those businesses include: Great Lakes Restaurant, Save-On Family Foods, Jonna's Market and the Howell Post Office.
  • Our Shop-N-Share food collection program allowed us to collect groceries from the parish and help refill the shelves at the Fowlerville Family Impact Center. Watch for another Shop-N-Share upcoming soon.
It's time for our annual Sweatshirt Drive held during the first three weekends in November. Please bring a new college sweatshirt to the Gathering Space. This collection will be distributed to local youth homes for kids needing some fresh, warm clothes.

And, more Good News! Our Last Sunday Family Rosary program is set to begin again on November 28-29 at all three Masses! This is a change, so attendees at any Mass can join us 1/2 hour before the Mass time to pray the Holy Rosary together. Please join us in the Gathering Space. We will be praying there so that the music and cantor ministries can prepare for Mass.
