"Christ In Us" Serving the needs of others...
NOTICE: Based on the current circumstances and with a profound desire to protect the health and well-being of all, we continue to determine how and when we can modify and/or resume our various ministries and programs. Meanwhile, below is information on our typical programs and potential start dates.
Baby Bottle Boomerang - Afterglow!
Well you've done it again: Knocked our sox off! We just received word from the Brighton Pregnancy Help Clinic the St Agnes Baby Bottle Boomerang last October brought in $1240.20 ! You are totally amazing - Thank YOU!
Advent Giving Tree - Afterglow!
The final numbers are in and we believe you should really sit down to hear this amazing news! The total rethinking of the logistics did not affect the spirit of the AGT nor your generosity. Because of you, St Agnes was able to send Livingston County Catholic Charities $2100, the Fowlerville Family Impact Center $700, and provide $4650 in Walmart Scrip cards divided among 18 parish families. That is a grand total of $7450. Now aren’t you glad you sat down? This totally knocks my sox off—what an amazing family YOU are!
Special bouquets of thanks go to Janet & David Kuehn who guided, planned, and engineered this miracle, keeping it as the best-loved St Agnes activity. Dear Friends, you are the personification of the true Spirit of Christmas. In the name of all you have helped, please accept our sincerest appreciation!
Christmas Food Baskets - Afterglow!
Even though there was a severe lack of winter snow, several members of our parish family got together to spread some Christmas love and cheer! Christmas food baskets were prepared and distributed to 18 parish and community families. Along with the food, $4650.00 of Walmart Scrip cards were divided among these families—made possible by your generous donations to the Advent Giving Tree. We humbly thank all who participated, donated, and prayed over this event.
Hope in a Box: Need for the month of January: Toilet Paper.
Pope Francis’ Prayer Intentions for January: Human Fraternity - May the Lord give us the grace to live in full fellowship with our brothers and sisters of other religions - praying for one another, open to all.
Christian Service Fall Hours: For the month of September the office will be on Tuesdays from 10:00 AM until 12:00 Noon. The Christian Service email account [email protected] will be checked several times a day. Telephone messages will be monitored on a staggered schedule, but at least once a week. Call the parish office at 517-223-8684 and ask for ext. 312. Please remember: Christian Service is an all-volunteer ministry so it could take a bit of time until we get back with you.
Please contact us if you or someone you know is in need of assistance before things get out of hand.
We are here to assist by listening, giving suggestions and/or direction for avenues of assistance, and helping in other possible ways.
