Need Any Yard Work Done??

Looking for projects to do! During our Vacation Bible School week in June we put together teams of junior high students that go out in the area and assist those that need yard work or other projects done at their homes. If you, or someone you know, could use some assistance, please let Marie Sheridan know.

Service trips planned to Flint!

At the Flint Center for Hope, they host Nutrition Truck Days twice a month where area residents in need can come for food. We are scheduled to assist on June 5 and June 19. We will leave St. Agnes at 8:15 a.m. and return about 2:30 p.m. Let Marie Sheridan know if you are interested. There is a signup form on the bulletin board outside of the religious education office. We can take up to 12 people each time. There will also be dates in July and August and those will be posted there as well.

Field Trip to Melkite-Byzantine Church

We are planning another day trip to experience how the Melkite-Byzantine Catholics practice their Catholic faith. This church, St. Joseph Melkite-Byzantine, is in union with the Roman Catholic Church but they do have some different traditions in their liturgy and customs.

We will have a tour on Tuesday, July 10 at 1 PM. There is no cost except to help our drivers with gas. The church is located at 725 W Mt. Hope in Lansing and they do have a website if you want to get more details.

Please let Marie know if you want to go. We may plan lunch out before so ask for details if you are interested.

Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA)

Do you know an adult interested in becoming Catholic or an adult—may be you—who never received the Sacrament of Confirmation? RCIA is a process for adults to become fully initiated Catholic Christians. The process here begins in September and continues until Pentecost with sacraments being received at the Easter Vigil. If you, or someone you know, is interested in learning more about this process please contact Deacon Roger Cahaney or Marie Sheridan. Our process will begin with Alpha, so there is still time to join this life changing process!
