CCD Café Style Coming in January!

Do you really believe and understand what you profess???  Join us for “Catechism, Coffee and Dessert”

  • We will have two time options: Wednesday mornings from 10:30 AM -12 noon OR Thursday evenings from 7-8:30 PM.
  • Each session we will discuss one chapter of the US Catholic Catechism for Adults.
  • We will meet January 10 through March 22 and then continue after Easter for a few weeks to complete the first session of the catechism on the CREED - the faith we profess at every weekend mass.

Please let Marie know if you would like her to order a book for you.

Along with learning about our faith we will be looking at simple ways to answer common questions that our family members, friends and co-workers may be asking us. Questions like…

  • Why does God let bad things happen?
  • Why do Catholics worship Mary (and idols)?
  • Why do Catholics confess their sins to a priest?
  • Why do Catholics call our priests “Father”?
  • Are you saved?
  • Are Catholic beliefs found in the Bible?

If you struggle with good answers to these questions (We just do - is not a good answer!) come join our CCD course.

No worries if you can’t make every week—each session is a different topic and if you get the book, you can easily follow along.

Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA)

Do you know an adult interested in becoming Catholic or an adult—may be you—who never received the Sacrament of Confirmation? RCIA is a process for adults to become fully initiated Catholic Christians. The process here begins in September and continues until Pentecost with sacraments being received at the Easter Vigil. If you, or someone you know, is interested in learning more about this process please contact Deacon Roger Cahaney or Marie Sheridan. Our process will begin with Alpha, so there is still time to join this life changing process!
